The management and control of the Fire Department is hosted in a public forum by the Board of Fire Commissioners. Board of Fire Commissioners is composed of the Chief and five Assistant Chiefs. The Chief shall be the presiding officer at the meetings, which shall be held on the first Tuesday of every month except when in conflict with a holiday. In such event, the meeting shall take place on the next Tuesday.
