Serious incidents keeping local departments busy.

Hawthorne firefighters were called to assit thier neighbors in Wyckoff and Fair Lawn over the past couple of days.
Wyckoffs house fire Tuesday Aug 16th, kept members hoping with a 3 alarm fire. The heat and humidity added to the difficulty with a quick moving basement fire which extended to the first floor before being quelled.

Hawthorne members responded with thier Cascade Unit and Hawthornes Engine One responded to the incident.

On Wednesday Aug 17th, Hawthorne was again requested to assist thier neighbors in Fair Lawn at the scene of another 3 alarm fire.
The fire was located at the previous Nabisco Plant on route 208, as a rooftop ventalation unit caught fire.
