Tonight members of the Hawthorne Fire Department attended the Borough council meeting where a proclamation was read by Mayor Lane to recognize the 71+ years of dedicated service by Ken Silvestri. Not only has Ken served in nearly every position in the department but he also has given a lot of his time to serving at the NJ State Fireman’s Home. Congratulations Ken on 71+ years of service but most of all thank you for your dedication being our brother firefighter, friend, and a true role model for all of our members to look up to. ...
