National Fallen Firefighters National Stair Climb

The National Fallen Firefighters Stair Climb was held at the Shea staduim this past Sunday Sept 24th, two memebrs from the department attended. As part of the program the NATIONAL STAIR CLIMB FOR FALLEN FIREFIGHTERS. The 2nd Annual National Stair Climb for Fallen Firefighters had 792 climbers honoring firefighters who made the ultimate sacrifice in the line of duty. The National Stair Climb focused on the strength and courage of our fallen heroes from the FDNY and around the Country. Two members from the Hawthorne Fire Department participated in the event. Firefighter Carlos Rivera and Firefighter Daryl Kallenberg completed the massive climb of the Meadow lands stadium. The department wishes to thank and congratulate the members for their fine effort in this program.
