12/28/2021 – At 7:23am this morning a box was transmitted for a reported fire in the ceiling at 61 Prescott Ave. Hawthorne PD and Chief Speranza arrived and confirmed a working fire. As heavy fire conditions became visible a 2nd and 3rd alarm were transmitted bringing mutual aid from North Haledon, Prospect Park, Glen Rock, and Paterson to the scene and Wyckoff and Midland Park to our firehouse. After nearly 90 minutes the fire was brought under control as companies remained on scene opening up to hit hot spots. No injuries were reported.
