Hawthorne Fire Dept responded to over 20 calls for service and 17 water rescues

7/27/2026 – During tonight’s storm the Hawthorne Fire Dept responded to over 20 calls for service and 17 water rescues taking place throughout the Borough. Thank you to our members for operating in these challenging conditions, the Hawthorne Ambulance Corps for standing by for evaluation of our members and parties removed from the water, and to Wyckoff Fire Dept for responding with their high water rescue vehicle.
