The Hawthorne Fire Department assisted the Guardians of the Ribbon and The Pink Heals Group in delivering a local young lady fighting a battle against cancer with a visit to her home. The organizations spent some time encouraging this young lady to continue with great spirits and to insure her that many people care and support her battle and wish her well.
The organization “The Guardians in conjunction with the “Pink Heals Group“ presented a relief fund to assist this battle as she is forced to travel monthly to Ohio for treatment at great expense to the family. Hannah signed the “Pink Heals Fire Apparatus” offering wishes of wellness to all!
The Hawthorne Fire Department continues with a donation fund for her and donations can be made to the Hawthorne Fire Department C/O Hannah Dougan Fund at 445 Lafayette Ave, Hawthorne, NJ 07506.
On behalf of the Hawthorne Fire Department, we offer our deepest gratitude to the Guardians and Pink Heals organizations for their tremendous efforts to others.
The Pink Heals Organization,
We put our volunteerism and our labor of love to work for the people in your community. According to our mission the money raised by your community efforts, be it individuals, public servants, or local businesses, should stay local – in your community, county or state. Pink Heals is health care support at a grass roots level and visionary leaders across the country are implementing Pink Heals at a rapid pace.
Pink Heals is a program that brings a community together based on the love of women and their families. It is a program that provides home visits to show individuals that they are loved, cherished and important to others. Pink Heals brings back the human element by celebrating people, not causes.

How It Works
The Pink Heals National Tour operates by the sale of merchandise, gifts and in kind donations to maintain our vehicles buy gas and travel across the country to visit individuals and share the program. Tour drivers volunteer up to 21 days at a time to drive pink fire trucks and police cars across America and deliver the Pink Heals Program to communities. Our local chapters use pink fire trucks and police cars as a visual reminder that people matter.
