Gas Emergencies Training

6/7/2026 – On Monday night members of the Hawthorne Fire Department received a class on gas emergencies by Chief Jerry Knapp from Rockland County. The class consisted of reviewing how we respond to and handle these calls and a refresher on understanding the readings our meters give us. To finish up a demonstration was shown of what happens when an environment in the explosive range finds its ignition source. Thank you Chief for this great night of training.
