Fire engulfs upper floors of Hawthorne home in three-alarm fire
On Wednesday, September 27th at 2am the Hawthorne Fire Department was dispatched for a structure fire on Sunrise Dr. in Hawthorne. The arriving companies on scene reported a home with heavy fire pushing out of the attic. Crews were put to work operating hose lines to control the fire. Mutual aid was requested from Glen Rock and Wyckoff as the incident became a three-alarm fire. The fire was finally knock down several hours later.
